Àlbula

This piece is located in a small grove with centuries-old holm oak trees. It is the work of the painter and sculptor Pablo Palazuelo (Madrid, 1916-2007). Inspired by the poem “Què és la poesia?”, it depicts a blank book. An identical sculpture presides over the tiltyard of the Verdaguer Museum in Vil·la Joana estate in Vallvidrera as a symbol of the union between the places where Verdaguer was born and died. It was executed in 1995 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Verdaguer’s birth.

Àlbula
La poesia és un aucell del cel que fa sovint volades a la terra, per vessar una gota de consol en lo cor trist dels desterrats fills d’Eva
