The town
Folgueroles is a village in the county of Osona located between the Plana de Vic and Les Guilleries. It is known for being the birthplace of Jacint Verdaguer (1845-1902), an important distinction which has determined its physiognomy. Currently, the village is like an open-air museum with multiple sites which hark back to the memory of the rebellious poet who elevated the literary status of the Catalan language to match the other European languages.
