Sant Jordi de Puigseslloses

This chapel was built in 1477 and reformed and enlarged in 1883. It has a twofold historical value: first, the poet Jacint Verdaguer celebrated his first mass there (1870), and secondly, it is one of the handful of churches devoted to the patron saint of Catalonia, Saint George. The toponym Puigseslloses comes from the megalithic dolmen that surmounts the hill.
